Job description
This IT Professional position serves as a key technical resource responsible for administering and maintaining critical infrastructure across the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS). Core functional roles include Domain Administrator, Windows Server Administrator, and Subnet Manager. The position reports directly to the CVMBS IT Infrastructure and Workstation Systems Manager.
The IT Professional manages and supports the College's complex network and server environments spanning the Main, South, and Foothills campuses, as well as multiple remote research and clinical sites. This role ensures secure, reliable, and high-performance IT services in support of the College's mission in teaching, research, outreach, and clinical operations.
Description of Work Unit:
Our purpose is to facilitate the mission of a world-class college with efficient and effective information technology in pursuit of the college's goals in teaching, research, outreach, and clinical service.
Essential Duties:
- Manages the data network for all of the college buildings on the Main, South, and Foothills campuses and two remote sites. First point of contact for DoIT when network issues arise. Manages the DHCP instances for the college networks. Intermediary between Internet Service providers, DoIT, and remote sites. Primary advanced support for network issues for the College Help Desk.
- One of three Administrators for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences 150+ Windows servers. Perform Server O/S installs and configurations. Software installs and problem detection, and resolution. Virtual Desktop interface management.
- One of five domain administrators in the college. Load and configure Microsoft Domain Controllers. Make changes to Active Directory as needed. Troubleshoot system-wide issues. Make changes to the CVMBS level of the University DNS servers.

Requirements
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field of study related to the work assignment AND one year of professional experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job., * 4+ years experience with Microsoft Server OS

- 3+ years DHCP/DNS/Network administration experience
