Coordinate project start-up activities, participate in project meetings relevant to the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of data management system
Perform scientifically rigorous data management and bioinformatic analyses
Independently design and implement a range of data collection instruments and workflows in REDCap, including the randomization module, longitudinal project setup, and role-based data access controls.
Perform thorough functional testing before database deployment.
Maintain the database and provide administrative services for the life of the project.
Assist team leads, supervisors and/or management with creation and implementation of processes and procedures and quality improvement initiatives
Provide training for study personnel associated with data collection, cleaning, and analysis.
Assist with developing or develop protocol-specific systems and documents including process flows, training manuals, and manual of procedures.
Assist with identifying issues related to operational efficiency and shares results with leadership
Act as a subject matter expert and authority in the area of REDCap data management system.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science or related field
Three (3) years REDCap development experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Computer Science or related field
Four (4) years of REDCap development experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Expert knowledge of database principles relevant in medical research
Expert ability to analyze and solve complex problems and apply quantitative analytical approaches
Expert level knowledge of REDCap and willingness to learn new programming languages as necessary
Familiarity with statistical analytical concepts and methods
Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
Outstanding customer service skills
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information, A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basisApplicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
