Job description

As a Senior Professional Application Designer at Gainwell, you can contribute your skills as we harness the power of technology to help our clients improve the health and well-being of the members they serve - a community's most vulnerable. Here are the details on this position., * Head up workstreams to design, develop, test and install complex applications software that spans server, client and web components

  • Help guide closer connections between application architects and developers to ensure design requirements are accurate and deliver a solid ROI for clients
  • Show your skill at writing highly complex design, coding and testing documentation to create a technical product that meets client expectations
  • Perform vital development, domain, application design, web service and database methodologies, and best practices provided by the project advisor and/or architect
  • Serve as a technical consultant to senior management for complex projects - from modifying existing apps to designing new application modules and components

Requirements

Do you have experience in Software troubleshooting?, * 8+ years of experience in application, web, and product design and support throughout the full software development lifecycle, experience with Medicaid and Medicare technologies is a plus

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with programming languages and frameworks, including Java and Spring Boot, along with building RESTful APIs and implementing API security standards such as OAuth2, JWT, OIDC, and SSO
  • Proven experience modernizing legacy systems by transforming monolithic architectures into service-based APIs, strong expertise in SQL and relational databases, including DB2
  • Experience deploying and managing applications on Tanzu Application Service (TAS) or Kubernetes-based platforms, with solid knowledge of Docker, containerization, environment-based configuration, and deployment troubleshooting (e.g., health checks, scaling, memory optimization)
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with developers, clients, and leadership through both written and verbal communication
