Lead Power BI Developer - INTL India

As an Lead Power BI Engineer you will act as the technical expert responsible for researching, designing, implementing, and managing software and data programs. This role involves identifying areas for improvement in existing systems, testing and evaluating new programs, and collaborating with business partners and leading the technical teams to deliver robust solutions., Solution Design & Development Manage evaluation, identification, development, and implementation of software solutions. Define, document, and record designs and modifications of applications or software. Design real-time and batch system interfaces and data enrichment pipelines in a cloud-native data ecosystem. Guide all phases of SDLC and provide technical support balancing business and technical needs. Lead and mentor junior developers in the team Work with IT leadership and business partners to design features for the cloud platform. Performance & Optimization Create/review database views in Data Lake. Optimize database views and queries for performance. Schedule and orchestrate data refresh in workspaces. Design DI/DQ rules in BRD and validate against views and reports. Security & Governance Review and implement proper RLS security. Create and manage AD groups within work files. Deployment & Support Set up and manage deployment pipelines. Provide development support, mentoring, and guidance to developers. Create, review, and update report templates. Deliver post-production and pre-AMS support. Lead AMS knowledge transfer for operational support. Troubleshooting Resolve production issues across all levels and severities, ensuring best practices are followed.

8-10 years of experience in a lead development role. Solid development experience in Power BI 5+ years of experience in at least one programming / data languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL, .NET, API). Strong working knowledge of Azure Data Factory and Databricks. Ability to lead solution development end-to-end with multiple team members Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master's preferred).

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Good to have experience with cloud solutions and NoSQL databases. Supply chain background NoSQL database experience Python scripting
