Job description

As a Data Engineer, you will work independently or as part of a team to deliver cloud-based technology solutions across products, projects, and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement features, partnering with technical teams across the organization to ensure successful delivery. This role also involves close coordination with tech leads, architects, and managers., * Partner with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to define and implement new features for digital products.

  • Own the maintenance and security of existing solutions, platforms, and frameworks; design new ones and recommend upgrades or fixes.
  • Troubleshoot production issues of varying complexity and severity, managing resolution from identification through completion.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, collaboration, and mutual respect.
  • Identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities in development approaches; propose platform-wide architectural solutions based on data and best practices.
  • Evaluate all technical options, including custom development, third-party subsystems, enterprise platforms, and existing components.
  • Actively contribute throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, release, and technical support.
  • Create technical documentation such as system diagrams, design documents, release procedures, and other relevant artifacts.
  • Collaborate effectively on cross-functional projects and during production issue resolution.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of hands-on experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Databricks, ADLS, SQL DB, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
  • Strong working knowledge of Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Expertise in databases and SQL.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to multi-task and reprioritize in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of code management and CI/CD systems (Azure DevOps or GitHub).
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Exposure to IoT Data Standards like Project Haystack, Brick Schema, Real Estate Core.
