Job description
The Information Technology Manager (IT), under the direction of the Program Manager/Deputy Program Manager, is responsible for the overall management of the Information Technology Department as it supports the overall program. The successful candidate will provide technical based, project focused, management of Information Technology staff. This is inclusive of Information Technology systems and equipment, Security Systems Services, Fiber/Copper Cabling, Cyber Security documentation and compliance, Software Development, Network Engineering, Database Administration, Web Services, and Systems Administration., * Provide Oversight and Management of IT team consisting of 10 to 15 personnel, for multiple site locations.
- Oversee the support and maintenance of all Core Communications Infrastructure, projects, and base CFP servicing Mission, R&D, and government customers.
- Establishes IT department priorities and implements processes/procedures to meet contract requirements for management of core communications networks to include operation, security, maintenance, installation, and engineering support.
- Ensures network compliance with the latest DISA STIGs, IAVAs, TCNOs, TCTOs, APL, and LSGs as directed.
- Serves as the primary interface between the IT department, Government stakeholders, and Senior Program Management Staff, ensuring alignment of IT services with operational priorities.
- Develops, maintains, and enforces Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Departmental Internal Procedures (DIPs) to ensure consistent, auditable, and secure IT operations.
- Exercises time management skills necessary to meet all deadlines of IT projects to include installation, tech refresh, upgrades, and network integration/hosting.
- Ensures records and documentation of network configuration/infrastructure changes are up to date.
- Drafts clear reports for government and PM to include monthly department SAV, weekly project/network status updates, and personnel evaluations.
- Collaborates with government and Mission partners, MAJCOM, Enterprise, and external vendors for support, quotes, projects, and development of solutions.
- Maintains overall knowledge and understanding of IT infrastructure for all sites.
- Promptly responds to any emergency requests from all sites.
- Ensures that personnel accessing information systems have the proper and current Information Assurance (IA) certification to perform administrative functions in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, IA Workforce Improvement Program.
- Coordinates all CORE COMM IT hardware and warranty acquisitions through the Government IT Management Office for purchasing.
- Ensures accountability of all base IT assets through oversight of ITAM Program and IT property custodian.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Management or Information Technology-based program or 5 years' experience in planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining information technology systems and networks.
- Must possess applicable certifications in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M/DoDM 8140.03, * Five (5) years relevant experience
- Must meet DoD 8570 IAM Level III equal to DoD 8140 Advanced., * Preferred experience in IT Project Engineering and Management.
- Skilled in verbal communications, conducting briefings, and building partner relations.
- Familiar with GEMSS, Cisco TAC, Dell, RedSky, and Microsoft Unified Support services.
- Knowledge of Base CFP Operations and EITaaS ServiceNow platform.
- Handling/Management of COMSEC
- Management of NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS networks, physical and virtualized servers, voice and data systems to include Cisco, Dell, Windows, Linux, CentOS, and vSphere platforms.
- Understanding of DISA STIG requirements, Vulnerability Management, and TEMPEST.
- Familiarity with ACAS, ARAD, SCORE, Evaluate STIG, STIGViewer tools and reports.
- Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) Program, DPAS, DCTrack and AIT systems
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance (Preferred)
