Job description
Working as an entry-level professional, monitors security alerts and analyzes network events to determine the impact on current operations. Executes established procedures to conduct initial event triage and support incident response activities focused on the threat to the Department of War (DOW) information network. Collaborates with intermediate and senior analysts to investigate and resolve security events. Prepares initial findings and reports based on the collection and analysis of security alert data. Develops and maintains foundational skills in incident handling to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operational security. Contributes to the production of high-quality documentation and recommendations for security operations officials.
Requirements
- 0 years with Bachelors degree, 2 years w/Associates degree. 4 years w/o degree.
- Must be able to obtain Basic certification level for DCWF - Cyber Defense Incident Responder within 60 days of employment.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
Benefits & conditions
Target Salary Range: $51,000 - $82,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
