Job description
The main function of a systems engineer is to apply the principles of computer science and mathematical analysis to the design, development, testing, and evaluation of the software and systems that make computers work. A typical systems engineer analyzes user needs, and then designs, tests, and develops software to meet those needs., Work alongside development engineers to test software releases of a new product. This includes driving passenger vehicles for real world testing and documenting results. You will also work with third party vendors on requirements and performance feedback. Mix of lab, pickuptruck, and onmachine testing. - Hands-on debugging with Linux/network tools. 10-20% travel to proving grounds and machine sites.
Requirements
Years of experience: 5-7 years
Degree requirement: Bachelor's in EE, CE, CS, Network/Systems Engineering.

Are there past or additional job titles or roles that would provide comparable background to this role: Network/Connectivity Engineer, Systems Integration Engineer, Embedded Test Engineer, V&V Engineer, Field Test Engineer.
IP networking fundamentals.
LTE/5G and/or bonded cellular experience.
Linux config/debug.
Wireshark, iperf, tcpdump, etc.
Test plan creation/execution.
Requirements tools (Jama/Doors).
Preferred Skills and Experience:
V2X or remote control system experience.
Python/Bash automation.
Embedded gateways (Cradlepoint/Peplink/Sierra/etc.).
Network redundancy/failover.
RF/antenna basics.
Safety-critical or autonomy exposure.
