Network Engineer

The Network Engineer (Senior) provides advanced Tier 3 and Tier 4 network engineering support for Department of Defense installation networks, including NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. Key duties include troubleshooting and resolving complex network incidents, monitoring network performance with enterprise management platforms, and managing the operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of transport network equipment and cabling infrastructure. The role also includes conducting pre-implementation testing, maintaining network performance metrics, supporting network baseline data collection and device catalog compilation, overseeing NOC shift scheduling, ensuring SLA compliance, and providing 24/7 on-call support with on-site response capability., Provides advanced Tier 3 and Tier 4 network engineering support for DoD installation networks, including NIPRNet and SIPRNet environments. Troubleshoots and resolves complex network incidents; monitors network performance using enterprise NMS platforms including SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, Juniper JSpace, and NetScout nPoints; manages operations, administration, maintenance, and provisioning of transport network equipment and cabling infrastructure; performs pre-implementation testing in an integrated test environment; maintains throughput, error, latency, and packet loss performance metrics; and provides 24/7 on-call support with on-site response capability at assigned installations. Over 10 years' experience and a M.A./MS degree.

CCNP or equivalent; Tier 3/4 troubleshooting; NMS experience (SolarWinds, Cisco Prime); NIPR/SIPR; Python/SQL or NMS data processing experience preferred
