Job description
As a Secure Enterprise Engineer you will be responsible for customer support and consulting via telephone, email and in person, software verification testing, sales support, training, and technical writing initiatives for Network Systems products. This will be focused on our family of encryption solutions., * Assist with overseeing lab operations, including the setup and configuration of ancillary networking devices, such as routers, switch and firewalls
- Prepare and ship equipment to customers or between facilities
- Collaborate with development engineers and program leadership for product improvements
- Support technical pre/post-sales activities, as well as technical review of product documentation
- Liaise with our customer community through requirements discussions, leading training courses, providing demonstrations, and resolve chronic issues
- Perform analysis in testing and proposing new features and offerings for customers
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in network operations, implementation or Engineering experience
- Experience troubleshooting technical Network issues
- Proven experience with IP networking and related fundamentals
- Demonstrated understanding of the OSI model, ethernet operation, static and dynamic routing (RIP, OSPF and EIGRP) and tunneling (VPN, GRE)
- Demonstrated experience using network sniffers or trace tools (Wireshark, NetScout, etc.), traffic generators (IXIA/SPIRENT), network management applications and similar test equipment
- Demonstrated proficiency at technical writing and documentation review
- Previous experience with COMSEC handling and requirements
- Strong presentation and communication skills to convey technical and non-technical information to audiences
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience
- US government position. US citizenship required
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- Ability to travel between 25%-50% both domestically and internationally
- Must be capable of acquiring CCNA within first six months of employment
