Job description

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer (AWS-focused) to design, implement, and support highly scalable and resilient network infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role is instrumental in ensuring low-latency, high-performance connectivity for global applications while seamlessly integrating AWS cloud environments with on-premise data centers. \r\r

Responsibilities \r\r \r

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS network architecture, including:\r\r \r
  • VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, IGWs\r
  • VPC peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink\r \r\r
  • Architect and support hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-prem data centers (VPN, Direct Connect)\r
  • Optimize network performance, latency, and availability for production systems\r
  • Partner with SRE and application teams to support scalable, fault-tolerant architectures\r
  • Implement and maintain network security controls:\r \r
  • Security Groups, NACLs, routing policies\r
  • Integration with firewalls and edge security\r \r\r
  • Support load balancing and traffic management:\r \r
  • AWS ALB/NLB, Route 53, and/or F5 (LTM/GTM)\r \r\r
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across cloud and hybrid environments\r
  • Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting (VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, SNMP, Syslog tools)\r
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible\r
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting critical production systems\r

Requirements

  • 5-8+ years of experience in network engineering, with strong cloud exposure\r
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing AWS networking (VPCs, routing, connectivity)\r
  • Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing concepts)\r
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking (VPN, Direct Connect, on-prem integration)\r
  • Background with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, firewalls)\r
  • Experience supporting high-availability, production environments\r
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-layered network architectures\r
  • Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and multi-account architectures\r
  • Familiarity with load balancing technologies (AWS ELB, F5 Big-IP)\r
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash)\r
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)\r
