Linux Administrator

Role will require 1 weekend day every week (Saturday or Sunday. Weekend days are onsite.

Possible Schedules are Tuesday Saturday: 10:30AM - 6:30PM or Sunday Thursday: 10:30 AM 6:30 PM per team needs (After Oct shifts to 9:30 am 5:30 pm)

Position requires 5 days in the office per week in Salt Lake City.

• As a Linux Administrator, you will be the Tier 1 / Tier 2 support of the Business systems in a 24×7 follow-the-sun model.
• This will entail alert management, OS troubleshooting, and working to restore service in a robust Enterprise Environment.
• Monitoring of Linux/Unix systems
• Troubleshooting of systems
• Alert Management
• Incident Management
• Working with clients across our Business Units to maintain and restore service
• Automation of activities through scripting and configuration management
• Working with Hardware teams to maintain the physical server estate
• Documentation of processes and procedures for the team

• Experience in Red Hat Linux Administration
• 3+ years of Unix/Linux systems administration experience
• Strong core OS troubleshooting experience
• Scripting experience in Shell, Bash, Perl and/or Python
• Virtualization experience in VMware or OpenShift
• Networking knowledge/skills
• Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise-grade server hardware such as HP and Dell rackmount servers
• Experience using remote management interfaces like Dell iDRAC, HP iLO, VMware vCenter/vSphere
• An automation-first mindset
• Incident management experience
• Prior experience in the Financial Service Industry is a plus
• Prior Enterprise experience is a plus
• Relevant certifications are a strong plus
