Job description

The QA Automation Engineer will support the development and quality assurance efforts for a large-scale enterprise application focused on contract operations, reporting, and compliance. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated and manual test cases, ensuring the reliability and performance of the application., * Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or similar tools

  • Develop and execute manual and automated test cases across multiple environments
  • Create and maintain test plans, execution strategies, and documentation
  • Track and manage test execution results and defect reporting
  • Use tools such as Jira to log, track, and manage defects
  • Develop and maintain requirements traceability matrices
  • Establish automated test schedules and reporting processes
  • Perform performance and functional testing
  • Support development teams during dev, test, UAT, and production phases
  • Troubleshoot failed test cases and identify root causes
  • Lead or support UAT testing activities as needed
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Provide on-call support as required

Requirements

  • Must reside in the Austin, TX area and be able to work onsite two days per week
  • Must be able to work on a W2 basis only (no C2C or third-party vendors), This role requires 8+ years of experience and the ability to independently plan and execute complex testing activities. The individual will rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and will operate with a high degree of creativity, autonomy, and problem-solving ability., The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automation frameworks (Playwright or similar), manual testing, and Agile environments, with the ability to support testing across the full SDLC including development, UAT, and production support., * 10+ years of experience executing manual test scripts
  • 8+ years of experience in automated QA testing
  • 8+ years of experience creating QA test scripts
  • 8+ years of experience in performance testing, * Experience with automated test reporting and analytics
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, and automation tools such as Playwright, WebdriverIO, or JMeter
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as Jira, XRay, or Zephyr
  • Experience with accessibility testing

  • Contract Duration: Approximately 4 months (May 2026 August 2026) with potential for extension
  • Work Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM CST
  • Occasional after-hours or weekend work may be required based on project needs
