Job description
As a member of the RealityKit rendering team, you'll have the opportunity to develop innovative rendering techniques to push the boundaries of visual quality and performance on the Apple Vision Pro and supported platforms. We collaborate across Apple, working with hardware teams, low level graphics API teams, design and technical art teams. Our primary responsibilities are delivering high quality, high performance, realtime graphics features for developers to use throughout the Apple ecosystem.","responsibilities":"Design and implement state-of-the-art graphics features and APIs to enable magical immersive and highly visual experiences
Identify and optimize bottlenecks in the rendering stack while ensuring consistent performance within thermal and power constraints
Build comprehensive test suites in collaboration with quality assurance and engineering teams
Participate in peer review of architecture, API, and individual software changes
Collaborate with technical art and human interface design teams across Apple
Requirements
Do you have experience in Rendering?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, MS or PhD in CS or related technical field
Experience developing modern rendering pipelines in 3D engines
Experience with node-based materials and shading techniques
Familiarity with AR/VR rendering technologies
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor degree and knowledge of 3D realtime rendering applications
At least 1 year of relevant experience
Proficiency in writing safe, performant C++ code
Knowledge of the graphics pipeline, modern rendering techniques, and image processing
Experience with at least one of the modern graphics APIs (Metal, Vulkan, Direct3D 12, WebGPU) and shading languages (MSL, HLSL, GLSL, WGSL)
Ability to solve problems in 3D geometry using linear algebra
Familiarity with all stages of software development, from prototyping to performance optimization
Solid debugging and problem-solving skills
Outstanding teamwork and communication skills
Passionate about owning and refining features

- RSU, At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,100 and $199,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
