About the Team: The Data Engineering team at SAMS is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems that support business-critical applications. As a Data Engineer III, you will be part of a dynamic team that is passionate about leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business growth and innovation., * Design, develop, and maintain large-scale data systems to support business-critical applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design data solutions
- Ensure data quality, security, and scalability of developed systems
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve data engineering practices, We use a hybrid way of working that is primarily in office coupled with virtual when not onsite. Our campuses serve as a hub to enhance collaboration, bring us together for purpose and deliver on business needs. This approach helps us make quicker decisions, remove location barriers across our global team and be more flexible in our personal lives.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of big data systems and architecture ecosystems
- Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, GCP, or other cloud services
- Enterprise Experience in working with Databricks or Snowflake or Airflow
- Proficiency in coding languages such as SQL, Scala, and Python
- Strong understanding of Spark and enterprise-level experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field. Option 2: 4 years' experience in

Data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics, Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related field, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
