Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Developer for the Office of Information Technology. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Oracle HCM Cloud and providing ongoing support for both Oracle HCM Cloud and legacy Oracle PeopleSoft HCM. The role will focus on ensuring a smooth transition to Oracle HCM Cloud while maintaining critical PeopleSoft HCM functionalities until full migration is completed.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Responsibilities include, design, develop and implement Oracle HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, BI Publisher Reports, and HCM Data Loader (HDL) solutions to meet business needs.
- Support ongoing system optimizations, quarterly updates, and new feature adoption in Oracle HCM Cloud.
- This position will also provide day-to-day support to UHR and Payroll as well as troubleshoot production problems and provide Help Desk support.
- Will provide subject matter and technical expertise to junior staff., Working Hours Standard Hours 37.50 Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience with four or more years of progressive experience in a technical or techno-functional capacity, with at least three of the years dedicated to implementing or supporting Oracle HCM applications, including PeopleSoft HCM and/or Oracle HCM Cloud.
Certifications/Licenses Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM/ E Business Suite/Peoplesoft with focus on various HCM modules.
- Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Web Services (SOAP/REST), and PeopleTools (for legacy support).
- Experience integrating data from disparate systems in/out of cloud based application.
- A good understanding of software SDLC.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Seven years of progressive experience in a technical or techno-functional capacity,
Preferred experience with the following:
- Oracle Integration Cloud, HCM Extracts, Fast Formulas, Bi Reports, Workflow.
- Oracle HCM Cloud Core HR, Benefits.
- Oracle Time and Labor, Absence Management.
- Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll.
- Oracle HCM Cloud Recruiting.
- HCM Data Loader (HDL), HCM Spreadsheet Loader (HSDL), HCM Cloud fast formulas and Descriptive Flexfields.
- Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) experience including but not limited to creating integrations, connections, data mappings & look-ups in addition to implementing error management and cloud adapter.
- Experience with building complex Apps Driven Orchestration, Scheduled Orchestration, File Transfer, Publish/Subscribe to OIC integrations.
- Eclipse, CVS, JIRA, and Confluence.
- UNIX scripting, developing web services: RESTful, SOAP, WSDL.
- Ability to understand complex, integrated, state-of-the-art and legacy computer systems.
