Job description
- Responsible to work with data consumers across the organization supporting the development of new reporting processes and changes required or improvements to existing reporting processes
- Responsible for performing data analysis for different regulatory reporting requirements and driving data quality remediations at the database level
- Responsible to work with technology, product, and platform teams to drive change and data straight through processing
- Responsible for working with Data Solutions & Services to implement data governance processes/controls with the standard framework
- Developing functional specifications to define the data and derivational requirements to the IT development group supporting regulatory reporting efforts
- Responsible to work with the internal business partner to properly test, train and implement new or improved processes, often leading these efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
- 5-7 years of total work experience in Business analysis, Data analysis or related engineering background
- Strong Excel skills and data analysis experience
- Strong SQL knowledge to facilitate data analysis is required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Experience in external reporting and/or internal audit preferred.
- Preferred Experience: Supported multiple enterprise systems implementations in a Business Analyst role
- Financial Regulatory Reporting experience is preferred
- Reg reporting on Data governance management including CDE managements, Data Quality contracts
- Knowledge Data governance tools like Collibra, IDQ, ASG, Solidatus etc
- North America Regulatory and Financial Reporting experience, a plus

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $52,000 and $70,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
