Job description
UI/UX Accessibility Developer (WCAG 2.1 AA), UI/UX developer with hands-on experience in WCAG 2.1 AA mobile/web compliance and document remediation, including familiarity with ADA requirements and accessibility best practices. Key Responsibilities
- Implementation
- Develop semantic, accessible HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React components.
- Ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards across responsive mobile and web environments.
- Testing & Auditing
- Perform manual and automated accessibility testing.
- Utilize tools such as:
- Keyboard-only navigation
- JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, TalkBack
- Color Contrast Analyzer
- aXe Chrome Extension
- Acrobat Pro XI/DC
- WAVE Evaluation Tool
Remediation

Identify and correct accessibility issues in:

PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and iText documents

Existing websites
Maintain alignment with current design and branding standards.
Requirements
1-2 solid UX/UI Consultants, preferably with some WCAG experience. 2 -3 Months (tight deadline, so need to bring in additional resources), * Technical Proficiency
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and React.
- Experience in responsive mobile/web development.
Accessibility Expertise
- Deep understanding of WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines.
- Knowledge of WAI-ARIA roles, states, and best practices.
Assistive Technology

Multimedia Accessibility
- Experience implementing accessible multimedia.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with VB.NET and C# is a plus.
