Job description
Content Management and Data Curation:
- Enter and format hymnal content and related materials for Hymnary.org and associated websites
- Review and proofread musical scores for accuracy
- Connect database records to authority structures and resolve duplicate entries
- Merge duplicate hymn text, tune, and person records to maintain database integrity
- Research hymn information to answer user inquiries and resolve data questions
Volunteer Coordination and Training:
- Train and supervise music engravers and student assistants
- Recruit, train, and monitor volunteer contributors
- Correspond regularly with volunteers and track their activity and contributions
- Provide ongoing support and feedback to ensure quality standards
Product and Technical Support:
- Respond to customer inquiries about shipping and product access
- Provide technical support for Hymnary's mobile applications
- Link products to website and maintain product information
- Oversee musical score production, including proofreading and quality control
Website Operations:
- Occasionally write promotional content and website copy
- Identify and recommend improvements to website functionality and user experience, This position provides oversight and guidance to student interns, volunteer contributors, and editorial staff as needed. FAITH and EDUCATIONAL COMMITMENT

Requirements
Do you have experience in Website management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage and enhance our website's extensive content and database by entering and formatting hymnal content, resolving data duplication, proofreading musical scores, and training volunteers who help expand our resources. This position also will occasionally provide technical support to customers, respond to user inquiries, and suggest improvements to Hymnary's functionality. The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree, exceptional attention to detail, basic music literacy, and strong research skills using library databases.
