Job description

  • Develop CFD Models (Air and Liquid) of Data Center white space and outdoor infrastructure.
  • Simulate airflow, heat transfer, and pressure distributions to evaluate cooling performance, containment strategies, and equipment layouts.
  • Analyze interior and exterior Data Center conditions to optimize airflow, thermal behavior, and environmental performance.
  • Evaluate exterior environmental conditions including wind loading, heat island effects, and outdoor air intake behavior.
  • Interpret simulation results to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for design improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with the Architectural/Electrical/Mechanical design teams to support Data Center system design decisions.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing modeling assumptions, methodologies, results, and design recommendations.
  • Support design optimization for cooling systems, containment solutions, and equipment placement.
  • Maintain and refine CFD simulation libraries, including equipment models, boundary conditions, and environmental templates.
  • Ensure CFD modeling and design recommendations comply with ASHRAE TC 9.9 and internal Data Center Design standards.
