Job description

  • The Hardware Deployment Technician is responsible for deploying, configuring, and supporting hardware and software systems across the organization.
  • This role involves troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with network connectivity, and providing end-user support to ensure smooth IT operations.
  • The candidate will collaborate with teams to coordinate deployments and maintain accurate documentation and inventory records., * Install and configure laptops, shared systems, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Perform basic software installation using internal deployment tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues both on-site and remotely.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues including LAN, WAN, and VPN configurations.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware assets.
  • Create and maintain documentation for deployment processes and troubleshooting steps.
  • Coordinate with project teams and onsite support staff to manage deployments effectively.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in desktop support, executive support, or IT deployment roles.
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry is preferred., * Proficiency in Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Experience with software deployment tools and remote support technologies.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts and configurations.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies such as Azure.
  • Experience with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Qualification And Education:

  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft certifications are preferred.

Should Have:

  • Ability to lift and carry computer equipment.
