Job description
The MIL Corporation seeks a Configuration Management Analyst (Software Applications Analysis, Sr. Analyst) to support a Federal Government client in Charleston, SC. The Senior Analyst will support financial systems analysis while ensuring effective configuration and release management, including the versioning, tracking, and controlled promotion of code, configurations, and artifacts across environments to enable reliable and auditable software delivery.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
Configuration Management Responsibilities
- Track how changes are introduced, managed, and promoted across development, test, and production environments
- Maintain version control across repositories, builds, and releases to ensure consistency and traceability across multiple networks
- Ensure all builds, artifacts, and releases are properly categorized, documented, and successfully delivered
- Serve as the control point for promoting code, configurations, and artifacts to production environments
- Track and document changes to support audit readiness, traceability, and compliance requirements
- Monitor and ensure the integrity and consistency of system configurations across environments
- Support CI/CD pipeline and release automation efforts while ensuring adherence to established CM standards and controls
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to align release processes with SDLC and operational requirements
Core Analysis & SDLC Responsibilities
- Analyze complex problems, develop and document alternate solutions
- Perform and document results of "what-if" analysis
- Perform requirements elicitation and analysis via user groups, interviews, regulatory research, etc.
- Draft requirements documents
- Draft design documents
- Draft proposals to resolve systems and business process issues
- Provide subject matter expertise on software functionality and business processes
- Provide product management deliverables to aid the project manager and team in establishing shared expectations for a successful project

Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with the software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support)
- Expertise with MS Office (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience supporting software releases, configuration management, or environment coordination activities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining a professional demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Waterfall and Agile software development methodologies
- Experience integrating Configuration Management processes within CI/CD pipelines
- Experience architecting future technologies/tools to support Configuration Management
- Experience with Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines) or similar platforms
- Experience with Git-based version control systems
- Familiarity with CM tools such as Ansible or Terraform
Education
BA/BS or equivalent experience
Clearance
Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance

For this position, the projected compensation range is $85,000 - $100,000 per year. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
