Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager at TQL, you'll lead a team of developers responsible for building and supporting innovative software solutions that drive the business forward. You'll partner closely with product, architecture, and business stakeholders while fostering a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture. In this role, you'll balance people leadership with technical direction, guiding teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions while continuously improving engineering practices and team effectiveness., * Direct the design and development of complex software solutions within the Microsoft development stack

• Guide the thoughtful use of AI to accelerate feature development and improve code quality
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and code review processes
• Drive improvements in build processes, test automation, and continuous integration practices
• Partner with product managers, architects, and business stakeholders to align solutions with organizational goals
• Lead collaborative design sessions to architect data structures, web components, and services
• Ensure clear and transparent communication of project status, risks, and dependencies
• Support issue resolution and implement preventative improvements to reduce recurring problems
• Empower support teams through training, documentation, and tooling
• Maintain thorough technical documentation and participate in change management activities
• Facilitate agile ceremonies and remove impediments when acting as a Scrum leader

Do you have experience in Team management?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * You have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

• You have prior experience as a senior software engineer or technical architect, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
• You have experience delivering enterprise software solutions, including leveraging AI where appropriate
• You have a proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain diverse engineering talent
• You communicate effectively and build strong relationships across technical and non-technical teams
• You have a solid understanding of modern web technologies and Agile or Scrum methodologies
• You are comfortable prioritizing high-impact work and managing multiple initiatives
