Job description

we are seeking a skilled Tech support specialist to enhance the engagement of our employees based in Japan by strategizing and implementing initiatives to reduce nighttime operations. The role involves designing and developing services to handle incident/release management for systems maintained in Japan during nighttime hours (daytime in the United States). This position requires coordination with the system maintenance team in Japan for incident response/release operations and the development of procedures, as well as exploring and implementing automation for incident response/release processes., Design and develop services to manage incident response/release operations during nighttime hours for systems maintained in Japan. Coordinate with the system maintenance team in Japan for acceptance and adjustment of incident response/release operations. Actively participate in incident response/release operations, including troubleshooting and resolution. Evaluate and develop procedures for incident/release response operations, as well as explore and implement automation for these processes. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese at a native level.

  • Intermediate-level knowledge of system infrastructure and practical experience as a system engineer.

  • Ability to manage tasks and issues related to the role and promote them while balancing priorities and resources.

  • Ability to focus on the essential causes of issues and proactively propose and improve, rather than taking surficial measures when issues occur.

  • Proactive attitude to improve task efficiency and quality.

  • Proactively propose the improvement plan and cooperate in improving the efficiency and quality of the business.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good organizational skills; able to assemble and present information clearly., * Intermediate-level knowledge of system infrastructure, encompassing the following: o Infrastructure Technologies (e.g. servers, networks, security). o Public Cloud Platforms (e.g. OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP). o Linux/Unix-based OS (e.g. RedHat, CentOS, Solaris).

  • Possession of at least one of the following IT certifications: o IPA: System Architect or Network Specialist o Oracle Certified: OCI Architect or Administrator or Developer o AWS Certified: Solution Architect (Associate level or higher) o Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate o Google Cloud Certified: Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer o Cisco Certified Technician: Associate (CCNA) or higher

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in any of the following: o Basic design of system infrastructure or operational infrastructure. o Addressing system failures and handling releases as a system engineer. o Programming/shell scripts (e.g. Python, Java, bash). o Using/developing system operation management tools (e.g. Zabbix, Senju, JP1). o Using/developing public cloud platforms (e.g. OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP). o Using/developing automation technologies (e.g. Ansible, RPA)., * 5+ years of experience as a system engineer.

  • BA/BS in analytics, informatics, computer science, or business and/or equivalent experience preferred.
