Job description
Our client is looking to hire a 3rd shift Quality Assurance and Safety Technician for their facility in Youngstown Ohio! Our client is a leader in producing high-density, low-cost steel counterweights, and weldments. The Quality Assurance Safety Technician would be responsible for shop inspecting parts and calibrating measuring tools to writing work instructions and completing first article documents for customers. Ensuring and promoting safety through training employees and updating safety documentation. Qualified candidates would have OSHA 10 and 30, and experience with Quality., Shop inspecting parts and calibrating measuring tools

Requirements
2 years past job experience
- OSHA 30 Certification -required-
- Computer skills proficient in Microsoft, Excel, PowerPoint. (*Auto CAD & Solids Works background a plus.)
- Blue Print reading to assist operators in interpreting tolerances and weld specifications.
- Validating CAD drawings and new work orders meet customer specifications before releasing to shop.
- Knowledge of reading a tape, micrometers. (*Faro Arm set up and operation a plus.)
- Knowledge of ISO documentation methods.
- Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required)
- Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily
- Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt.
- Attend monthly all shop meetings
- Highly Organized and able to successfully manage multiple projects
- Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment
