Job description
We're looking for a Solution Architect, Marketing Cloud, on the Information Technology team to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Data Enablement, Corporate & Commercial Reporting, you'll serve as a critical connect in company's marketing automation ecosystem, ensuring that Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) supports compliant, effective, and data-driven customer engagement across brands and regions. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud with strong business acumen. This role is remote and can work from anywhere in the United States.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to partner with business stakeholders to lead gathering, document, and prioritize requirements for campaigns, journeys, and audience targeting. You'll also:
- Align Salesforce Marketing Cloud initiatives with commercial strategy, data governance, and compliance policies (including privacy, consent, and regulatory requirements).
- Provide technical ownership of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform, ensuring system performance, scalability, and integration with CRM and data ecosystems.
- Oversee technical architecture, data design, and integration pipelines between SFMC with Heath Cloud, Snowflake, Veeva CRM, and Master Data Management.
- Lead and review vendor-delivered technical solutions, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security, and scalability.
- Partner with Vendor, including performance oversight, code review, and adherence to SLAs and best practices.
- Drive platform governance, release management, and change control in partnership with IT operations and compliance.
- Establish, deliver, and monitor key performance indicators and process improvements within the platform.
- Oversee campaign enablement, automation workflows, and customer journey configuration within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Ensure data quality, segmentation accuracy, and end-to-end campaign execution support.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance marketing automation, personalization, and analytics., Unsolicited resumes from agencies should not be forwarded to Insmed. Requirements
You have a Bachelors degree along with 8+ years of experience in IT or Marketing Technology, including at least 4 years working directly with Salesforce Marketing Cloud in an enterprise environment. Pharmaceutical / Biotech experience is strongly preferred.
You are or you also have:
- Experience managing multi brand/product Marketing Cloud environment.
- Proven experience managing or overseeing third-party vendors or implementation partners.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce Marketing Cloud architecture, configuration, and automation, AMPscript, SQL, and data extensions, along with:
- REST/SOAP APIs and system integrations
- Salesforce Sales/Service Cloud integration patterns
- Data privacy, consent, and pharma marketing compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
