Brandes Associates Inc., a Defense contractor, is seeking an experienced Full Stack Web Developer with Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline with 3+ years of experience who will architect, develop, and maintain mission-critical systems while providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members. You will work within a SAFe/Agile environment to deliver high-quality software solutions for a Department of Defense (DoD) program at Naval Base Point Mugu near Camarillo, CA. • Technical Documentation
• Provide technical documentation support for the development and management of technical documentation
• Product / Software Development Support
• Develop complex microservices-based systems using Java Spring Boot, ensuring scalability and fault tolerance
• Write high-performance, production-ready code in Java, and TypeScript that meets security and performance requirements
• Develop responsive front-end applications using ReactJS/Redux, NPM, and Material UI with a focus on performance and reusability
• Implement RESTful web services and APIs following industry best practices and Governance for authentication, error handling, and documentation
• Utilize WebSockets for real-time communication in collaborative applications and dashboards
• Configure and manage message queuing systems like RabbitMQ (AMQP) for asynchronous processing and system integration
• Leverage Java ORM frameworks such as JPA and Hibernate for efficient database operations and entity management
• Implement automated testing including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure system quality
• Manage version control workflows in Git, implementing branching strategies and ensuring proper code management
• Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes deployment issues across the full stack, from front-end to database
• Perform code reviews on Pull Requests and technical mentoring for junior developers, focusing on best practices and clean code principles
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation in Confluence for system architecture and code standards
• Manage project tasking and user stories in JIRA, maintaining transparency on progress and impediments
• Participate in our Agile ceremonies including the SAFe Program Increment planning meetings to align team objectives with organizational goals
• Contribute to architectural decision records documenting system design choices and technical direction

• Between 3 to 10 years of experience performing the duties described in the functional description
• 3+ years of experience in software development with emphasis on full-stack solutions
• 3+ years' experience with CI/CD pipelines in an agile DevOps environment
• 3+ years' experience with Java/C#, JavaScript, containers, and microservices architecture
• 3+ years' experience with SQL and database design
• 2+ years' experience with HTML and CSS
• 2+ years' experience with Git version control
• Demonstrated experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and Bitbucket or equivalent tools
• Experience working in Agile environments and as a Scrum team member
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for all levels of interaction
• Ability to work independently and take initiative
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)

Desired experience:

• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
• AMQP (RabbitMQ) implementation experience
• Advanced Java ORM experience (Hibernate)
• Spring Boot or Java EE development expertise
• RESTful web services design and implementation
• Single Page Application (SPA) development with ReactJS/Redux
• WebSockets implementation for real-time applications

Education:

• BS or BA degree in a Computer or Information Science field or a relevant technical discipline.
• ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional 6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, or 4 additional years of work experience with a relevant associate degree.

Clearance:

• Must have a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Applicants will be subject to a T5 security investigation
• US citizenship at time of application

The typical annual salary range for this position is $115,000.00 USD to $145,000.00 USD. Salary will be based on current qualifications, directly related experience, geographic location, and possible contractual requirements which could fall outside of this range.
