Job description
- Define and own system architecture and requirements for advanced connected products.
- Translate customer, market, and regulatory needs into precise system and subsystem specifications.
- Lead cross-disciplinary system design, integration and verification across electronics, battery, RF, antenna, acoustics, imaging, mechanical design and embedded and system-level software.
- Drive system trade-offs balancing performance, power, size, cost, and manufacturability.
- Define test strategies from early prototypes to production-ready products. Own and follow up on the master verification plan.
- Take technical ownership of regulatory, operator, and customer certification (CE, FCC, PTCRB, GCF, carrier approvals, etc.).
- Identify and mitigate system-level technical risks.
- Act as a senior technical counterpart to customers, suppliers, and test labs.
- Contribute to and evolve system engineering best practices.
- Support sales in quotation work and early customer discussions as the key technical representative
Requirements
- Several (8+) years of experience as a systems engineer or similar technical role for complex electronic or connected products.
- Strong understanding of system design, system architecture, integration, product development and lifecycle management.
- Experience from requirement management.
- Ability to drive cross-disciplinary technical risk management.
- Clear, precise communication and strong technical leadership skills combined with good ability to document, communicate, and collaborate. To be able to lead and inspire teams and customer.
- Excellent skills in advanced technical conversation in English.
- High analytical skills and a structured way of working.
- Relevant university or engineering degree.

Preferred additional skills, personal traits, experience
- Background in high-volume or industrialized product development.
- Solid understanding of wireless regulatory and certification processes.
- Experience with mobile network operator approvals.
- Familiarity with professional systems engineering tools (for instance JAMA, Jira, Confluence).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Deep system-level understanding of:
- o Cellular and wireless technologies (LTE, 5G, IoT radio). o RF systems and antenna integration. o Electronics and embedded hardware. o Embedded and system software. o Mechanical design of rugged water-resistant casings for electronics with RF transceivers.
