Job description
Responsible for interfacing with multiple stakeholders to understand product requirements and propose system test tool solutions to ensure that Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) products are tested thoroughly to meet global quality standards. Develop and release test plans, test objectives and all other relevant verification engineering deliverables in compliance with Global Product Engineering Process (GPEP) and customer expectations. Lead the development of system test tool requirement specification and propose system test tool solutions for various LVDS video interfaces like FPD Link III, GMSL2, GVIF2, Human machine interface, Power-moding and vehicle communication interface(including diagnostics and functional safety) for ADAS applications. Understand specifications of SerDes (Serializer/Deserializer) LVDS interfaces used in high-speed video communications. Provide technical guidance for various product stakeholders with documentation, process, procurement, and deployment of system test tools. Responsible for system test tool commissioning and deployment. Responds to stakeholder inquiries concerning system test tool solutions and issues. Provide technical input to request for proposal/request for quotation (RFP/RFQ) responses. Support development of CAN/Ethernet ARXML file and test verification. Work with project engineers to guide and develop the feature degradation matrix for ADAS systems. Define diagnostic messages for use on the vehicle communication bus. Acts as a stakeholder and reviews requirements for ADAS systems and confirms the correct verification criteria is established for testing. Work with Engineering Program Management to provide feasibility and planning information about system test tools. Provide technical advice for system test tool roadmap definition based on expert knowledge of ADAS electronic control unit (ECU) specific technologies and customer use cases. Oversee and support life cycle engineering activities using defined processes and standards. Participate in internal and external technical reviews, as required. Work with requirements engineers at program initiation to help analyze the system test tool requirements. Work with external suppliers to develop system test tool verification criteria. Actively pursue cost-saving ideas for system test tools. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, research, recommend and initiate implementation of enhancements to products, quality, processes and programs. Work with lead and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues quickly using the defect management system for debugging and triaging within the team project organization. Manage technical escalation paths appropriately. Escalate were necessary for communication of issues, requests for assistance, and unexpected situations.
Requirements
Master Degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering or foreign educational equivalent. One year of experience in the position offered, or in a similar position, such as Systems Engineer or Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer. Experience must include designing and testing Diagnostics Fault manager logics, DTCs, RIDS and DID's and Faults for ADAS ECUs; designing strategies for system degradation in case of a redundancy and safe disengagement of features with proper HMIs; and development of ARXML files for CAN and Ethernet messages for use in generation of CANoe RBS and HIL test setups.
