Job description
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Test Prep Assistant - Boca Raton, FL.
This position plays an important role in supporting the Testing Center by responding to student inquiries, managing classroom reservations and registrations, assisting with instructor communication, updating course information, supporting marketing efforts, and helping coordinate practice tests and score reports., * Respond to student inquiries by phone and email, providing detailed information about test prep courses and registration processes.
- Coordinate and maintain classroom reservations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records.
- Process student registrations and handle necessary follow-up.
- Complete special projects or assist with them as needed.
- Perform general clerical tasks, including copying and mailing.
- Maintain ongoing communication between the test prep office and students/parents.
- Assist with class scheduling and coordinate communications with instructors.
- Update course information on the website and within FAU's learning management system.
- Promote courses across campus through posters, flyers, catalog postings, social media outreach, and participation in campus events.
- Send promotional email communications through email blast distributions.
- Occasionally organize and proctor practice diagnostic tests in the GCS testing lab.
- Organize and manage exam score reporting.
- Other job-related duties as needed.

Requirements
High school diploma and one year of appropriate experience required.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong organizational abilities, and exceptional attention to detail, along with familiarity using web-based data entry systems.
Excellent customer service skills with clear, professional communication in both written and verbal formats.
Strong time-management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks efficiently, including responding to student inquiries.
Dependable and proactive, with a strong sense of initiative.
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Benefits & conditions
$15.00 per hour., Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice. Applicants hired into Temporary positions may apply for a regular appointment should a vacancy become available.
