Job description

The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) invests in a network of community-based organizations and programs to alleviate the effects of poverty and to provide opportunities for New Yorkers and communities to flourish.

DYCD is seeking a College Aide- Help Desk Technician to perform the below task/responsibilities :

  • Monitor and Manage Service Now Help Desk tickets and E-mails in a timely manner.

  • Provide Helpdesk/desktop support for hardware and software computer systems and peripherals.

  • Support and set up audio/visual equipment, computers, and Laptops in several conference rooms, training rooms and Auditorium. Assist with IMAC's (Installs, Moves, Adds, & Changes) with the computer systems and peripherals for all DYCD staff at the 2 Lafayette St. and 123 William St. locations.

  • Monitor, Update, and complete Service Now Service Desk Tickets submitted by the DYCD staff. Provide Remote Desktop and Laptop support for DYCD staff participating in the Hybrid Work from Home Program.

Requirements

For Assignment Level I: Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school. For Assignment Level II (Information Technology): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
