SQL Database Engineer

• 7+ years of experience in Database Engineering, specifically Big Data
• Programming experience with C#, Java, C++
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DB version control (Flyway or Liquibase)
• Experience with Mongo dB and Cassandra
• Strong hands-on experience performing configuration, installation, and data migrations with AWS SQL Server RDS
• Extensive experience with TSQL writing functions, procedures, triggers, and sequence
• Strong leadership abilities - MUST drive and take ownership of their assignments and projects

Job Responsibilities:

• Hands on experience multi-region replication and Disaster Recovery Scenarios.
• In-depth knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL).
• Extensive experience with TSQL writing functions, procedures, triggers, and sequences.
• Expertise in database performance diagnostics in both development and production systems.
• Well versed in Design and Management of SQL SERVER database schemas and big data.
• Experience designing database structures, indexes, views, and partitioning.
• Knowledge in Setup and maintenance of SQL SERVER master - slave clusters utilizing streaming replication.
• Experience in security access control, testing, configuration management, version control, highly available web applications.
• Ability to implement database change controls, as well as development, staging & production SQL SERVER databases.
• Experience creating SQL SERVER databases backup, recovery & upgrades.
• Experience monitoring lock files, backup, and performance issues.
• Proven skills communicating effectively with various levels of technical, non-technical, business & executive audiences.
