Job description

Exciting opportunity to provide subject matter expertise in the design, deployment, and maintenance of integrated IT solutions that span on-premises data centers, tactical environments, and cloud platforms in support of US Army Product Managers., Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, resilient, and secure system architectures.

  • Design, deploy, and manage scalable IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises hardware, virtualization platforms, and cloud services.

  • Collaborate with developers, cybersecurity teams, and other IT professionals to design and implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, and infrastructure provisioning across diverse environments.

  • Ensure security and compliance principles are implemented, including access controls, data protection, and adherence to government/DoD standards (e.g. STIGs, RMF).

  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues across the entire technology stack, and optimize for reliability and efficiency.

  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in system integration, virtualization, and automation, continuously enhancing knowledge and skills and advising stakeholders of possible impacts

  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise on systems engineering and integration, providing recommendations and insights to stakeholders and senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • 7 years of professional experience with at least 5 years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, or systems administration
  • Experience working in DoD Impact Level 5 and 6 (IL5/IL6) environment.
  • DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, if necessitated by changing requirements, in the future.
  • Experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of integrated IT solutions that span on-premises data centers, tactical environments, and cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure).
  • Proficiency with enterprise virtualization platforms (e.g. VMware) and a strong understanding of containerization technologies and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Proficiency in Linux (Red Hat, Open Shift) and Windows Server.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages for automation, such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools to manage and configure systems at scale (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet.)
  • Comprehensive understanding of both traditional and cloud networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs) and network security principles. Must be able to apply DoD security standards, including implementing DISA STIGs.

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.

  • DoD Top Secret Clearance

  • Experience with Tactical Networks

  • DoD8570 Compliance - an IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+

  • Experience in working in Agile methodology.

The proposed salary range for this position is: $108,400 - 227,500 USD
