Looking for a role where your expertise directly enhances user experience and operational success?, The Systems Administrator is responsible for the security, installation, maintenance, and daily support of Student Affairs information systems, including network services, Active Directory security groups, and specialized software applications. This role assists with implementing and maintaining new and existing systems, provides guidance on system capabilities, usage, storage, security, and access, and collaborates with staff and the HIPAA Compliance Officer to evaluate and improve systems. Additional responsibilities include coordinating user training, developing documentation and process diagrams, and maintaining the computer systems equipment inventory database. Primary Job Duties

Maintain Active Directory, user objects, computer objects, OU's, policies. Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth and related authentication technologies.

Review and interpret identity, access, and audit logs in Microsoft Active Directory to support investigations, access reviews, and policy validation.

Monitor division software and applications process to make sure they all go through TRB Technology Review Board.

Assists with the oversight of Information Systems as related to HIPAA/FERPA compliance and other federal and state regulations concerning protection of patient and other sensitive information, Maintain Active Directory, user objects, computer objects, OU's, policies. Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), SAML, web Single Sign-on (SSO), OAuth and related authentication technologies. Review and interpret identity, access, and audit logs in Microsoft Active Directory to support investigations, access reviews, and policy validation. Create/Delete, modify and troubleshoot Group Policies. Support, investigate and validate the implementation of security policies such as Conditional Access, Insider-Risk Management, DSPM for AI, Data Loss Prevention Information Protection, and endpoint compliance. Assist with user support and awareness, responding to security-related inquiries, phishing reports, and training participation. Collaborate with DoIT Division of Information Technology teams to ensure alignment with security architecture, shared service boundaries, and tool access. Perform other security functions as assigned by the HIPAA and Security Compliance Officer Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 50 Job Duty Review and interpret identity, access, and audit logs in Microsoft Active Directory to support investigations, access reviews, and policy validation. Assists with data analysis using a variety of IT software. Monitor and investigate assigned security alerts from tools. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty Monitor division software and applications process to make sure they all go through TRB Technology Review Board. Assists with audits for divisional software and hardware. Creating, analyze, test and implement Group Policies. Use third party and native automation with PowerShell and other scripting methods. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 10 Job Duty Assists with the oversight of Information Systems as related to HIPAA/FERPA compliance and other federal and state regulations concerning protection of patient and other sensitive information. Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 5 Job Duty Supports special projects and other tasks and duties as assigned by the HIPAA Compliance and Security Officer and Executive Director or IT.
Requirements
Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Requires a bachelor's degree in a job related field and 1 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials, * Highly proficient in computer hardware and software troubleshooting and one or more related certifications., * Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to exercise good judgment in organizing work and setting priorities, balancing the interests of customers and readily readjusting priorities to respond to their needs and expectations.
- Demonstrated strong ethical, professional and service-oriented, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a positive and solutions-based manner.
- Problem solving skills. Ability to learn and grow in the area of focus.
