Job description
We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support enterprise campus and data center network solutions for a diverse customer base. This is a full-time, delivery-focused role within a VAR / professional services environment., * Design, deploy, and support enterprise campus networks, including routing and switching
- Design and deploy data center network solutions, including core, aggregation, and access layers
- Implement and support firewall platforms, with preference for:
- Cisco Firepower (FTD / FMC)
- Palo Alto Networks
- Participate in the full project delivery lifecycle:
- Technical planning and validation
- Change implementation and maintenance windows
- Documentation and customer handoff
- Troubleshoot complex network issues across Layer 2-Layer 4
- Work closely with Project Managers, Architects, and fellow Engineers to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Follow standardized delivery processes, templates, and best practices to improve quality and reduce risk
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery standards, documentation, and service offerings
Requirements
- CCNP (REQUIRED) - strong networking focus
- Routing & Switching (core skillset)
- Infrastructure deployment experience (not just support)
- Experience with firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
- Must be client-facing / able to present confidently
NOT looking for:
- CCNP Voice candidates
- Pure support / ticket-based engineers
- Candidates who haven''t built/deployed networks, * VAR / Vendor / MSP experience (ideal)
- Strong end-user candidates only if they''ve done full deployments
- Experience leading or owning implementations, * Cisco Client
- Nexus (9K, Fabric, Dashboard Controller)
- Catalyst Center
- Palo Alto Firewalls & Prisma
- Cisco Firewalls / Secure Connect
- Large-scale enterprise environments (1,000+ users), * Comfortable on large engagements (hundreds-1,000+ hours)
- Strong mix of technical depth + consultative presence
- Able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up, The ideal candidate has strong networking fundamentals, practical hands-on experience, and the ability to execute projects within defined scope while reducing customer risk. This role requires comfort working across campus, data center, and security domains, along with strong collaboration skills in customer-facing engagements., * Routing & Switching
- Strong hands-on experience with OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP
- Strong understanding of Spanning Tree Protocols (STP, RSTP, MST)
- Strong understanding of First Hop Redundancy Protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP)
- Experience deploying and supporting enterprise-grade routing and switching platforms
- Experience working in multi-site enterprise environments
Security Experience
- Hands-on firewall experience required
- Cisco Firepower experience strongly preferred
- Palo Alto Networks experience strongly preferred
- Cisco Identity Services Engine (Client) is a plus.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Experience with VXLAN (EVPN, data center fabrics, or campus segmentation)
- Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center)
- Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC)
- Experience with Juniper MIST
- Experience working in a VAR, MSP, or professional services organization
- Exposure to large-scale enterprise or data center environments
Certifications
- Active CCNP certification (required)
- CCNP Enterprise (Route/Switch) preferred
- Additional active CCNP certifications (Data Center, Security) are a strong plus
- Commitment to maintaining and expanding technical certifications is highly valued

- Base: ~$135K
- OTE: ~$150K (10% bonus)
