Job description
We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing design specifications, creating detailed project documentation, and supporting machine build and installation. This role requires a strong background in mechanical design and engineering, with hands-on experience in automated equipment and machine design., * Identify equipment change points using current equipment drawings and new model part prints to meet engineering and customer specifications.
- Develop design specification documents, concept models, and line layouts detailing the required work.
- Engage in machine design, modeling, component sizing and specification, and part detailing.
- Create comprehensive project documentation, including Bill of Material, Spare Parts Lists, Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Assembly Procedures and Check Sheets, Repair Procedures, and Project Schedules.
- Perform engineering calculations to determine machine cycle time, FEA, static/dynamic accuracy, and size machine components.

Requirements
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD for layouts, concepts, model comparison, line arrangement drawings, and assembly/detail drawings.
- Ability to perform static and dynamic calculations of equipment and components to meet design criteria.
- Experience in Bill of Material creation and parts ordering.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for project documentation and communication.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to report project status and lead meetings.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Project and Excel to create and update project schedules.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of full-time mechanical design/engineering experience in work holding/fixturing, material handling, robotic cell automation, and/or special assembly machine/automation design.

This is a Contract position based out of Anna, OH. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
