Gartner has exciting career opportunities for a Data Analyst within the Chief Data and Analytics Office. Data Analysts interpret and analyze complex datasets to provide insights and support data driven decision making to support product development of data domains to drive business initiatives. This role will provide support for our Master Data Management Scrum team with focus on data product design, solution assessment and execution support of large- and small-scale initiatives.
What you'll do:
- Serve as a liaison between data engineers, data stewards, product owners, and other IT teams to ensure seamless data integration and effective data product implementation across the business
- Interpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to more complex statistical analysis and create accurate/timely impact analysis
- Uses statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies, and extract meaningful insights to inform product requirements
- Identifies KPIs and develops metrics to track and measure product performance
- Identify, communicate, and assist with the efforts to resolve data gaps that impact the delivery of data products
- Gain domain knowledge in relevant business areas, data acquisition principles/sources, technical options/limitations, and communicate risks supporting data product delivery
- Collaborate across business and technical teams, to create business deliverables such as Technical Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories and User Acceptance Tests
- Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business needs and functional requirements
- Assist test plan creation (Functional testing) and user acceptance testing to validate delivered solution meets business expectations
- Ensure quality through adherence to and supporting processes and procedures, including the maintenance of documentation on shared file systems
- Provide support to other business/data analysts, business process owners and project managers to help drive business initiatives
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as Business Analyst/Data Analyst in an Analytics environment
- 4 yr. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field preferred
- Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data analysis tools and techniques is required, Python skills a plus
- Expert knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to both technical and business partners
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology
- Well versed with in utilizing tools such MS Excel, MS Word, Google Suite, MS Visio, Lucid Chart, JIRA, Confluence

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 68,000 USD - 87,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
