Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented project engineer to work within our wastewater group to help with network design, configuration, and programming experience. This person will be reviewing, analyzing, and even commanding industrial equipment through SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) AND HMI., * Prepare detailed project cost estimates using drawings, specifications, and related documentation
- Develop bills of material for field equipment and control systems
- Coordinate vendor and subcontractor pricing, including cost, terms, and delivery timelines
- Support proposal development and clarification documentation
- Present estimates and pricing details to internal sales leadership
- Track and manage multiple estimates while meeting bid deadlines
- Participate in sales, pre-bid, and project kickoff meetings as needed
- Assist with value-added alternatives and cost-saving options for clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is a huge plus. Will consider years of experience and associates degree.
- Background in industrial controls, automation, or water/wastewater systems preferred
- 2+ years of experience in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Rockwell, Siemens) or controls engineering.
- Proficiency in cost estimation tools (Excel, ERP software) and PLC software (RSLogix, Logix5, Logix500, Studio 500, FactoryTalk).
- Graphical Design experience with FactoryTalk ViewSE, Ignition, VTScada, Wonderware, or iFix.
- Ability to perform technical calculations and component sizing.
