Job description

About the Role: The IT Support Specialist will install, configure, maintain, and support hardware and software systems across both office and manufacturing environments. This role also provides hands-on technical assistance, end-user training, and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and secure daily operations., * Install, modify, configure, and repair computer hardware, networking, and software systems.

  • Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support to end users.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and upgrade manufacturing floor computer components such as labeling equipment, shop-floor devices, and hand-held terminals.
  • Assist with installing hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives.
  • Document standard operating procedures and maintain accurate technical records.
  • Perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network issues.
  • Upgrade hardware and software components as required.
  • Train users on new or modified equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Monitor and ensure systems and equipment function according to specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on computers, printers, and related peripherals.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WAN?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, Preferred Experience of the IT Support Specialist:

  • 1-3 years of IT support experience, in a manufacturing environment (plus).

  • Working knowledge of computer systems, networks, servers, and system maintenance.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Office 365, Active Directory, and basic networking knowledge

  • Preventive maintenance on computers, printers, and related peripherals.

  • Independent worker comfortable operating without direct onsite supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to support users at all levels.

Bonus Experience of the IT Support Specialist:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
  • Experience with manufacturing-floor technology is a plus (e.g., labeling devices, shop-floor hardware).
  • LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, backup solutions, storage solutions, servers.
  • Experience with Plex ERP or similar.
