Job description
- Software Engineering: Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and systems, ensuring high performance, reliability, and alignment with user and business requirements
- Engineering Support: Provide engineering support for vendor integration activities in preparation for FORCE test events. Provide on-going support during test events.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with other engineering teams, system architects, and product management to ensure cohesive development efforts and deliver end-to-end solutions that meet user requirements.
Requirements
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team in the FORCE lab supporting Software, Simulation, Systems Engineering and Integration (S3I) Directorate., * Minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python
- Understanding system integration, API development, and managing dependencies between different software components
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize important, competing tasks and information.
- Self-starter that needs little direction/guidance on what next steps are required with projects and demonstrate a strong attention to detail
- Travel: 10%
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Active U.S. DoD Secret clearance is required to perform this work. Candidates are required to have a Secret clearance upon hire, and the ability to maintain this clearance level during employment
Education Requirements :
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, from an accredited university, in in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, for the performance of these duties (preferred)
Desired Skills :
- Experience working with defense contractors or military systems
- Experience in Agile methodologies
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jira, Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience with the following technologies: STANAG 4586 UAV interoperability standard, Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) standard, Electro optical sensors, RF sensors, Launched Effects
