Job description
Cloud Financial Portfolio & Strategy
- Own enterprise-wide cloud financial management, including cost transparency, accountability models, and optimization strategy.
- Develop and maintain multi-year cost optimization and savings plans, including reservations, savings plans, vendor commitments, and life-cycle management.
- Successfully balance flexibility, risk, and savings when recommending commitments
- Advise Finance and IT leadership on trade-offs between cost, risk, and performance.
- Lead forecasting, variance analysis, and scenario modeling for cloud spend.
- Integrate cloud costs into enterprise IT financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Maintain market intelligence, including cloud vendor pricing models, financial impact from their changes,
Cloud Analysis, optimization, and metrics
- Performs hands-on analysis of AWS cost and usage data using tools that include CloudHealth, Cost Explorer, CUR, and other FinOps tools
- Diagnose and explain spend variances, anomalies, and forecast deviations
- Lead root-cause analysis of unexpected cloud spend in partnership with engineering teams
- Own savings plans and reserved instance strategy, and perform break-even, utilization, and coverage analysis
- Translate architectural and operational decisions into financial impact.
- Develop KPIs translating engineering activity into financial outcomes
- Track efficiency trends and optimization velocity
Executive Advisory & Stakeholder Leadership
- Serve as the primary and trusted financial advisor to IT and technology delivery and analytics leadership on cloud cost efficiency and investment decisions.
- Lead cross-functional discussions with technology delivery and analytics, Finance, vendors, and IT executives, and mediate tradeoffs and competing priorities.
- Present financial insights, cost narratives, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership with confidence and authority.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial controls, audit expectations, and compliance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 4+ years of experience in cloud financial management or IT financial management, with demonstrated ownership of cloud cost strategy and outcomes.
- Hands-on experience analyzing AWS cloud cost and usage data, with the ability to explain cost drivers, variances, and optimization opportunities.
- Proven experience designing and managing cloud savings strategies, including Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, and vendor commitments.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, including forecasting, scenario analysis, and benefits realization tracking.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior leaders on cloud investment decisions, balancing cost, risk, and performance.
- Strong executive communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes across Finance, technology delivery and analytics, vendors, and IT leadership in a complex, fast-paced environment.

$104,000-$141,000 vision insurance, paid time off, 401(k) United States, New York, White Plains Mar 11, 2026, Competitive compensation will be offered based on a variety of factors, including a candidate's experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal equity and other factors. In addition, a range of benefits to include medical, dental and vision insurance, employee assistance program, as well as generous paid time off, and 401K contributions are offered as a part of the total compensation package. Pay Range $104,000 - $141,000 USD
