The School of Information at the University of South Florida seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time and tenure-earning, Assistant Professor position with a start date of August 7, 2026. Salary is negotiable.Minimum qualifications: Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Information Science, Information Technology, Security Studies or a closely related discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science/Analytics, etc.) is required. Applications from individuals who are ABD will be accepted, but the degree must be conferred by appointment start date. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. \n Preferred qualifications: Preference will be given to applicants whose research focuses on Cyber and/or Strategic Intelligence Tradecraft or Information Security/Cybersecurity, who have strong quantitative research skills, a demonstrated record of scholarly research and publication, university-level teaching experience and a clearly articulated research agenda.
