Job description
UST is searching for a Sr. Java Developer with strong understanding of OOP, collections, multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning.
The opportunity:

Hybrid: In office/remote

Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality Java-based applications.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers.

Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Spring Boot.

Drive best coding practices, code reviews, and ensure adherence to architectural standards.

Work closely with architects, product owners, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end to end solutions.

Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long term fixes.

Contribute to solution design, technical roadmaps, and performance optimization.

Mentor junior developers and foster a high-performing engineering culture.

Requirements

8+ years of hands-on experience in Core Java development.

Expertise in Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and REST API design.

Experience in building and deploying microservices architectures.

Solid knowledge of JPA/Hibernate and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).

Strong experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a strong plus.

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below., Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits.
