HawaiiUSA FCU's IT Security Analyst I assist in protecting the company's information systems and data from security threats. Assist in protecting HawaiiUSA FCU information and its infrastructure from threats and ensure that HawaiiUSA FCU complies with statutory and regulatory requirements regarding technical information access, security, and privacy. Have a foundational understanding of IT security principles and a passion for continuous learning in the field of cybersecurity., * Assist in monitoring and analyzing security systems, including AV/EDR, Web gateway, and SIEM solutions.
- Support the IT Security team in responding to security incidents and breaches, including investigating and documenting incidents, mitigating risks, and implementing preventive measures.
- Respond to security-related tickets in a timely manner, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Learn and understand policies, standards, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access.
- Assist in reporting on security system and end user activity audits.
- Assist in recommending, scheduling, and performing security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
- Assist in performing complex analysis on controls and logs to determine issues and report to management.
- Assist in vulnerability management including recommending and scheduling, direct fixes, and security patches.
- Keep current with emerging security alerts and issues.
- Assist in conducting research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
- Provide on-call security support to end-users.
- Assist in the coordination, development, and delivery of an education and training program on information security and privacy matters for employees and other authorized users.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) year or more experience in cybersecurity or a related field.
- Certifications and/ or work-related experience may be substituted for education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or another related field preferred.
- Entry-level certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CompTIA Security+ preferred.
Minimum Physical & Other Requirements
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and gingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
- Moving and transporting computers and peripherals as needed.
- Ability to handle all confidential matters professionally, maintaining and protecting the members and HawaiiUSA FCU information.
