Job description

As a IT Governance Analyst, you will support enterprise data governance initiatives by curating metadata, developing end to end data lineage, maintaining business glossaries, and defining data quality standards. You will collaborate with technical and business teams to strengthen data governance, promote data sharing, and ensure data assets are accurate, well defined, and compliant with governance frameworks and regulatory expectations., * Maintain and administer the enterprise business glossary and data catalog.

  • Curate metadata and support adoption of metadata and data modeling tools.
  • Develop and maintain end to end data lineage diagrams from source to consumption.
  • Author and manage data quality rules, thresholds, and validation checks.
  • Support creation and maintenance of data models and critical data elements.
  • Conduct metadata and data quality audits and address gaps or inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with analysts and solution designers to document data definitions and standards.
  • Utilize automation tools to streamline governance workflows.
  • Track tasks and governance activities using work management tools.

Requirements

  • 3 5 years of hands on data governance experience covering metadata, lineage, glossaries, and data quality.
  • Experience with data catalog or metadata platforms such as Purview, Informatica, Alation, or Collibra.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and data infrastructure concepts.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience documenting data classifications and sensitivity standards.
  • Familiarity with automation platforms or low code tools preferred.
