Job description

Insight Global is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support one of our clients in the Oil & Gas industry. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and operation of security controls across the client's evolving technology environment, including IT, OT, SCADA, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. The Cybersecurity Engineer will work closely with infrastructure, network, OT, and GRC teams to protect systems, respond to security incidents, and support ongoing modernization and cloud adoption initiatives. This individual will play a key role in improving CNX's overall security posture while ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational requirements.

  • Success in this Role:
  • Strengthening incident response, detection, and remediation capabilities
  • Supporting efforts to move the organization up one tier in the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
  • Successfully securing cloud and hybrid deployments (Azure / AWS)
  • Improving visibility and reduction of risk across IT and OT environments

Requirements

  • 3+ Years working in an IT/OT and SCADA Environment (If not, other regulated environment Ex. Healthcare, Financial)
  • 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience supporting enterprise environments
  • 3-5 years experience securing legacy systems and supporting modernization efforts
  • Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and incident response

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

  • Experience implementing and maintaining security controls aligned to NIST and SOX requirements
  • Experience supporting Microsoft environments (Azure and/or AWS)
  • Including hybrid connectivity, identity, and security controls *Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, CEH, or equivalent
