Job description
The Workday Test Analyst - Payroll & Time Tracking supports the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) implementation by coordinating, planning, and executing integration testing activities across Payroll and Time Tracking workstreams. This role ensures successful deployment of Workday HCM, including Payroll for the US, Canada, and Australia, with a strong focus on cross-functional testing, data validation, defect management, and test governance. The analyst will work closely with functional leads, integration teams, external vendors, and the overall testing lead to ensure testing activities are aligned across Configuration Unit Testing, End-to-End (E2E) Testing, User Readiness Testing (URT), and Payroll Parallel Testing.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in QA and software testing 3+ years of experience testing payroll and time & attendance systems Hands-on experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking Deep experience with Canadian Payroll specifically Strong understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) Experience creating test strategies, test plans, test cases, and execution reports Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, etc.) Experience with data validation and reconciliation during system migrations Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
