Job description
AMD is looking for an influential engineer working on software and hardware co-design. You will be a founding member of a core team of incredibly talented industry specialists and will define the future of hardware and software AI compute solutions., * Collaborate with AMD architecture engineers on GPU software and hardware design decisions.
- Co-optimize AI workloads on current and next generation GPUs.
- Contribute to client projects and open-source AI frameworks, driving features and adoption.
- Design and develop new technologies for future compute platforms.
- Participate in new hardware bring-up and validation.

Requirements
Ideal candidates should possess a "Just-Do-It" mindset and strong motivation. They must be driven to understand the status quo and explore better solutions using first principles of thinking. Experience is highly preferred in end-to-end development of startup/GPU AI hardware, including programming models, GPU microarchitectures, tapeout, and bring-up., * Deep AI infrastructure experience with open-source frameworks (e.g., SGLang, vLLM).
- Strong kernel optimization skills using DSLs and HIP (or CUDA), plus PTX/SASS equivalents.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern GPU architecture.
- Demonstrated open-source contributions on GitHub.
- Motivational leadership and excellent interpersonal skills., * Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
