Job description
The Cash Applications Specialist will play a key role supporting the Accounts Receivable team, with a primary focus on cash posting and payment applications. This position was created due to a recent vacancy and offers the opportunity to grow within a shared services environment that values accuracy, teamwork, and long-term fit., * Apply and post customer payments accurately and timely within an SAP environment
- Perform cash application and reconciliation for high-volume and large-dollar transactions
- Maintain and reconcile cash application spreadsheets, including Excel-based tools
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, discrepancies, and short payments in collaboration with AR and Credit teams
- Support broader Accounts Receivable functions, including open AR review and payment behavior analysis
- Partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met
- Participate in meet-and-greet interview calls, with a strong emphasis on team collaboration and fit
Requirements
- Prior experience in Cash Applications, Accounts Receivable, or related AR roles
- SAP or ERP system experience strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills, including reconciliation spreadsheets and VLOOKUPs
- Background in collections, AR analysis, or customer payment processing is a plus
- High attention to detail and ability to manage repetitive, high-volume transactions
- Desire to learn and grow as the shared services team continues to expand
