Job description
The Software Engineer will consult on and contribute to moderately complex software engineering initiatives. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining secure, scalable applications while adhering to compliance, risk management, and accessibility requirements. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, act as a technical resource, and support continuous improvement using Agile and DevOps methodologies., * Lead or participate in complex software engineering initiatives within assigned domains.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and document applications using Agile development practices.
- Build and maintain accessible, user-facing applications using React and .NET technologies.
- Develop and consume REST and SOAP web services using OAuth and JWT.
- Create test data and perform unit, interface, and integration testing.
- Ensure quality, security, and compliance standards are met for supported systems.
- Analyze user needs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical support and consultation for application-related issues.
Requirements
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on Specialty Software Engineering experience, including enterprise application development and support.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies: .NET Core, C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET Web API, and design patterns such as MVC, Factory, Builder, Entity Framework, DAO, and Singleton.
- Frontend development experience with React, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Experience with accessibility (ADA) implementation for graphical user interfaces.
- Database experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
- Experience with data modeling languages such as XML, YAML, and JSON.
- Knowledge of web services (REST/SOAP), OAuth, JWT, and ODATA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DevOps methodologies and cloud-native tools, including OpenShift (OCP), Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with modern SDLC practices and tools such as GitHub, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Artifactory.
- Experience with unit and integration testing frameworks such as XUnit and MSTest.
Benefits & conditions
The pay rate for this position is $53.00/hr to $57.00/hr. This is a contract position with the possibility of conversion to a full-time role.
